STATEWIDE EVICTION MORATORIUM ENDED ON JANUARY 15,2022 AND WAS NOT EXTENDED … BHA WANTS YOU TO KNOW THE FOLLOWING:

Attention Residents of Beacon Housing Authority, please be informed that the Statewide Eviction Moratorium has ended as of January 15, 2022. If you are currently in arrears on your rent, BHA strongly suggests that you become proactive in addressing this matter. All rental arrears can be addressed by contacting the BHA Office to discuss your specifics. BHA will be taking action moving forward to address all rental arrears.

Secondly, BHA is also announcing that as of February 2022 Late Fees will be applied to all rents that are submitted past the 5 day grace period. All BHA rents are due the 1st of the month, tenants have a 5 day(business day) grace period to submit rent to the office. If rent is submitted after the 5th business day it will be considered late and Late Fees will be attached to the account.

Finally, BHA requires all rent checks and money orders to be legible and include tenant’s name and apartment number. If tenants submit a check or money order that is not legible, or that is ripped, or damaged it will not be accepted by BHA Management. Checks or Money Orders that are not legible and do not include tenants’ name or apartment number will not be accepted by BHA Management. BHA is asking all tenants to comply with this request and submit legible intact checks which include tenants’ name and apartment number. Compliance with this request will help avoid future late fees.

If you are a tenant in good standing with your rent and have no arrears this notice does not apply to you.

BHA thanks you for your compliance and appreciates your attention in this matter.

BHA MANAGEMENT 🙂
