The BHA administers 309 Housing Choice Vouchers.  Eligible families are issued a voucher and must locate a unit to rent.  As long as certain criteria is met regarding the unit, the family can rent the unit and the authority will provide rental assistance.  The BHA’s jurisdiction is the City of Beacon, the Town of Fishkill, the Village of Fishkill, the Town of Wappingers and the Village of Wappinger Falls.

Leaving the City of Beacon Housing Authority with Housing Choice Voucher assistance is called Portability.  If you are a current voucher holder, and interested in leaving the BHA’s jurisdiction, please contact our office for more information.
