Mayor Lee Kyriacou Announces Spirit of Beacon Day

Hi Beacon. This is Mayor Lee Kyriacou, reaching out to announce Spirit of Beacon Day, as well as to encourage you to fill out a recreation survey.

I’m delighted to welcome back the Spirit of Beacon Day, which will be held on Main Street this Sunday, September 25th. This longtime community event was not held in person the past two years due to the pandemic, so we’re hopeful everyone will come out for this year’s celebration. The parade on Main Street kicks off at 1 p.m. after which the street festival will continue until 4 p.m. For more information and for opportunities to get involved as a volunteer, please visit

Also, the City is conducting a public survey of our recreational programs, facilities and community services. The link to the survey can be found on the City’s website at and will be open until mid to late-October. Please take a few minutes to let us know what you think of our parks and recreational programs; it will help us plan for the future.

Thanks, and I hope you all have a great week.
